Natural State Field Blend, Marlborough, Churton 2020
Incredibly aromatic, exhibiting aromas of fresh spring blossom and ripe white stone fruits. On the palate it is rich and voluptuous with a clean crisp finish. Excellent length, bright acidity.

Deep golden straw. Slightly cloudy. Fermentation aromas dominate the fruit. But it’s hugely sincere without any single grape variety dominating. A real geek’s wine. Edge and zest. Lime marmalade? Lots of interest here, though it finishes a bit suddenly.
Aromas and flavours of honeysuckle, wild flowers, lemon and apricot, crunchy apple and leesy autolysis spice. Great acidity and youthful drive. A delicious wine, making use of the attributes of each of the distinctive components of the blend: Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and Petit Manseng. Expertly made with a long and beguiling finish. 94 points
