Peter Jakob Kühn

Peter Jakob Kühn

This estate has been in the family since 1786. Peter Jakob Kühn is one of the growers who has re-established the area's reputation and in 2016 he was named German Winemaker of the Year.

Based at Oestrich they have around 20 hectares and were the first and currently (2016) only vineyards in the Rheingau to be farmed bio-dynamically. He has developed a training system which presents a much wider curtain of leaves to the sun and so aids ripening. He always achieves superb concentration in his wines.
