Tanners Talks Bridgnorth, Dr James Wright

Tanners is pleased to welcome Dr James Wright of Triskele Heritage, to Bridgnorth. James is an award-winning buildings archaeologist and historian as well as an all-round historic myth debunker!

With two decades of professional experience, as James describes it ‘ferreting around in people’s cellars, hunting through their attics and digging up their gardens’ he knows a thing or two about historic buildings. What better place to host a talk than Tanners historic Bridgnorth branch, guests will be greeted with a glass of Tanners Cava then upstairs to our tasting room where the talk will commence.

James looks to reveal the meaningful truths about how ordinary and extraordinary folk lived their lives in the mediaeval period. He is also the author of the popular Medieval Mythbusting Blog and his book Historic Building Mythbusting: Uncovering Folklore, History and Archaeology – copies of which will be available for purchase and signing on the night.
