With Cabernet Sauvignon’s tight structure and full body, Merlot lends a hand to soften out the palate, reducing tannin levels. It is in Pomerol and Saint-Émilion where it is in its prime. Beyond Bordeaux, Merlot has achieved global success with significant cultivation in the south of France, Italy (in the North and sometimes in Supertuscan blends), the United States (notably California), Chile (where for many years it was confused with Carmenère) and South Africa.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Multiple Producers","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58117466227072,"sku":"ZS2652K","price":120.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0800\/8948\/1524\/files\/zs2652k.jpg?v=1779357873","url":"https:\/\/www.tanners-wines.co.uk\/products\/taste-the-grape-merlot-half-dozen","provider":"Tanners Wines Ltd","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
