Producer: Santa Ema
The origins of Santa Ema go back to 1917 when Pedro Pavone Voglino emigrated from Piedmont and planted European grapes in the Central Valley. These were sold to other wineries until his son Felix began making and marketing their own wine in 1956.

His four children are now all involved with the running of the company which began exporting in 1986, firstly to Brasil, but now to 20 countries around the world. In 2003 a new vinification centre was opened in the Isla de Maipo at El Peral surrounded by 50 hectares of the company’s own vines. Grapes are sourced from their own vineyards throughout Maipo and from other growers. The third generation of the Pavone family is committed to producing quality wines with an environmentally friendly and socially responsible approach. The vineyards are certified as sustainable and the winery has fair trade ‘Fair for life’ accreditation.
