The best champagne and sparkling wine for Christmas 2019 I’ve been impressed by the excellent quality of own-label champagne of the year. Based in Shrewsbury, the independent family wine merchant Tanners has found an Epernay cracker. Deep golden in colour, with a satisfying toasty richness, this tastes a lot more expensive than it is. Rounded, supple, fruity house #champagne made for Tanners by the small quality-focused Beaumont des Crayères co-op using a high proportion of Meunier. #harmonious #crowdpleaser One of the best value Champagnes on the market, there is a richness and depth to this wine which you usually only find in wines which wear much larger price tags so please load up if you are celebrating this summer! |
