Tanners Super Claret, Haut Médoc 2015-En Primeur (case of 12)

En Primeur Wine ?

*This pre-shipment offer is made en primeur* this means that you pay for the wine now then the duty and VAT when the wine is shipped in 2020. This makes the wine £12.28 per bottle all in; the shelf price is likely to be around £15 (so the saving is substantial).

This is the third outing for our “Super” Claret, a term we apply to wines that particularly impress and offer something a little different to our ever-popular Tanners Claret.

2015 is universally regarded as a 5-star vintage in the Haut-Médoc. An inviting nose of ripe cherry and light creamy oak, then blackberry and a touch of classic graphite. A mouth-filling freshness complements the red and black fruit along with some savoury notes on the long finish. Fine grained tannins with well-integrated oak. This is an elegant, balanced, classic Left Bank Bordeaux. Of course, most will be drunk young but if you decide to hide it away for five years you will be rewarded. Super!

Lying Abroad/En Primeur/In Bond Wines

Wines offered ‘Lying Abroad’ or ‘En Primeur’ provide a good way to secure some of the most sought after wines at opening prices. In addition we ensure it is the cheapest way to buy favourite mid-priced wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône, so please ask us for our offers or check our website for latest reports. Prices are clearly marked in our sales literature and are exclusive of duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT. Shipment of claret and Port normally takes place around 30 months after the vintage, burgundy and Rhône usually more quickly. A second invoice for the duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT on the value of the wine is charged at time of shipment - view current duty rates. There are no further charges for deliveries to a UK mainland home or work address. Your Lying Abroad purchases are covered under The Bunch Code of Practice which can be sent on request or viewed here.
