Tawny Port

Aged in wood rather than bottle, Tawny Ports lose more colour, hence the name ‘tawny’. It is an overlooked but versatile style. Often bottled at 10, 20, 30 or 40 years, they can be served chilled and produce wines with great complexity; spices and dried fruit flavours abound. Colheitas are tawnies from a single year and are worth seeking out.
