Château Lilian Ladouys, Saint-Estèphe 2023 En Primeur - Case of 12

£144.00

Typically attractive aroma here, a compote of sweet red and black fruit then gentle and soft in the mouth. Easy, silky feel on the structure and supple in the finish. Very good again, if more ‘up front’ and forward with quite a vivid, saline end, courtesy of it’s organic credentials. Part of the growing Lorenzetti empire and reaping the benefits of top winemaking investment – Lafon Rochet is also now in the stable alongside Pedesclaux. Continues its good recent run and always worth a good look.

Château Lilian Ladouys

Bought in 2008 by Jacky and Françoise Lorenzetti, this estate has seen considerable investment and renovation.

Consisting of 80 hectares of fine vineyards on gravel outcrops and clayey-limestone soils, very advanced wine making techniques and 16 - 18 months of oak ageing are returning Château Lilian Ladouys back to its true potential. Château Pédesclaux in Pauillac is also under the same ownership.

About En Primeur

Lying Abroad/En Primeur/In Bond Wines

Wines offered ‘Lying Abroad’ or ‘En Primeur’ provide a good way to secure some of the most sought after wines at opening prices. In addition we ensure it is the cheapest way to buy favourite mid-priced wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône, so please ask us for our offers or check our website for latest reports. Prices are clearly marked in our sales literature and are exclusive of duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT. Shipment of claret and Port normally takes place around 30 months after the vintage, burgundy and Rhône usually more quickly. A second invoice for the duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT on the value of the wine is charged at the time of shipment - view current duty rates. There are no further charges for deliveries to a UK mainland home or work address. Your Lying Abroad purchases are covered under The Bunch Code of Practice which can be sent on request or viewed here.
