Château Puy-Blanquet
This is a 25 hectare property in Saint-Etienne-de-Lisse owned by the Jacquart family. The grape varieties are 75% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon on a clay and chalk soil.
The vineyard management and winemaking is overseen by Libourne négociants JP Moueix who also market the wine. Green harvesting and leaf thinning are practised and harvesting is by hand. The style is fairly traditional, fresh and fruity with minimal use of oak with only 20% of the crop seeing barrels of which 10% are new.
