In 1977 Andrew and Laurel Quady built their first winery at their home in Madera, in California, and began making 'port style' wines.
In 1980 they introduced their Orange Muscat, a fortified dessert wine, and following on the back of its success introduced their Elysium, from Black Muscat, in 1983. Since then the Quady Winery has gone from strength to strength, with a new winery finished in 1984, and ever an increasing range of interesting wines being made by their dedicated team.
