La Dame de Montrose, Saint-Estèphe 2025 En Primeur (Case of 6)

£162.00

ALC 13.7%

This wine is still to be bottled and as such the advertised ABV may be subject to change on its eventual arrival and inspection into the U.K.

There's a mass of red and black fruit here that swirls on the palate. Life and a fair bit of power behind, generous and long, same texture but less depth than Montrose. Very good though.

Château Montrose

Château Montrose is situated on the top of a gravel slope that overlooks the Gironde. From 1896 to 2006 was in the hands of the Charmolüe family but was then sold to brothers Olivier and Martin Bouygues. They have totally renovated the buildings and the vineyards, and have taken great steps to reduce the property's carbon footprint. The first wine still has typical Montrose characteristics being muscular, powerful and dense, and built for the long haul in your cellar. There is also a second wine, Dame de Montrose.

About En Primeur

Lying Abroad/En Primeur/In Bond Wines

Wines offered ‘Lying Abroad’ or ‘En Primeur’ provide a good way to secure some of the most sought after wines at opening prices. In addition we ensure it is the cheapest way to buy favourite mid-priced wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône, so please ask us for our offers or check our website for latest reports. Prices are clearly marked in our sales literature and are exclusive of duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT. Shipment of claret and Port normally takes place around 30 months after the vintage, burgundy and Rhône usually more quickly. A second invoice for the duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT on the value of the wine is charged at the time of shipment - view current duty rates. There are no further charges for deliveries to a UK mainland home or work address. Your Lying Abroad purchases are covered under The Bunch Code of Practice which can be sent on request or viewed here.
