Gin

The gin market seems to have peaked but is still at a much higher level than historic levels. Gin is a very individual spirit. It is flavoured with juniper and a number of other ‘botanicals’, the proportions of which give each gin its individual characteristics and following. As with any flavourings, the job can be done well, and it can be done badly. We are very proud to have an extensive selection of quality gins available at Tanners to suit all tastes. The flavoured gins are finding great popularity, with rhubarb and honey seemingly the favourites. Don’t forget Sloe and Damson Gin which we classify under ‘Liqueurs’ because they are sweet.
