The soils shine through here, offering a Chablis-like profile – all stony and fresh, then peach and salted pastry, meal, and a lovely citrusy lift. The palate is intense and energetic, with rich fruit, great mineral presence, super acidity and a pleasing touch of oak. Do not underestimate this!

A great, expressive nose of ripe white fruits, warmer stone fruits, orchard blossoms, and a tantalizing mix of meal, toast, salted nuts, and citrus. The ample palate offers great depth of fruit, attractive oak, smoke, and a real sense of precision. Very well balanced and seriously good.

Generous, broad and rounded – more sensuous, silky and seductive than HH. Rich peaches, apricot, and warmer citrus. There is a light mineral bite, delicate smoke/flint, and a dusting of white pepper too. Dense without feeling heavy, this is dreamy, juicy, long and bright.

As characterful and idiosyncratic as ever, this opens with an intense hit of lime citrus – peel, pith, and juice, citrus flowers, and that whiff of smoke. Tense and vibrant on the palate, showing that typical, almost Riesling-like racing line. Chock full of potential.

A powerhouse in this warm, dry vintage, leading with apple pie, notes of cashew, sweet white flowers, citrus, ripe peach and apricot, soft spice, and salt. Deeply concentrated and intense, and incredibly long too, there is a lovely smoky note, and the spice builds through the finish. Mâté’s is always sought after, and this is one not to miss – it will benefit from a couple of years and then has a long future.
