In all parts of the vinous globe, sparkling wines are produced, maybe not on the scale of champagne or Prosecco, but very impressive and suitable for all occasions or simply just because.
There are some excellent examples: try the superb Pelorus from the Cloudy Bay stable in New Zealand, or the South African Journey's End MCC Brut which is an absolute gem.
