Duorum Vinha dos Muros, Douro Branco 2024 En Primeur - Case of 6

£78.00

This wine is still to be bottled and as such the advertised ABV maybe be subject to change on its eventual arrival and inspection into the U.K.

A parcel of Arinto and Gouveio from an old walled vineyard (Clos in French) with a northerly exposition, aged in for around four months in mostly older oak. Very pure and focused on the nose, showing bright citrus, delicate fragrant herbs and a sense of mineral pools. The palate too feel fresh and clean-cut, offering up savoury citrus notes and a seamless, silky texture that puts one in mind of a cooler Mâcon style. Wonderfully balanced and moreish. 0-5 years. 13% vol

Duorum

Made by Duorum, a joint venture between João-Portugal Ramos of the Alentejo and José Maria Soares Franco, ex Barca Velha. The vines are in two sites in the Douro: in the Cima Corgo (middle Douro) and the Alto Douro, where there is a large investment in a winery and 45 Ha of new plantings at the beautifully situated Castelo Melhor, perched above a remote section of the Douro. 70 Ha of vines are also rented. José-Luis Moreira da Silva is the oenologist and João Perry Vidal is the viticulturist.

About En Primeur

Lying Abroad/En Primeur/In Bond Wines

Wines offered ‘Lying Abroad’ or ‘En Primeur’ provide a good way to secure some of the most sought after wines at opening prices. In addition we ensure it is the cheapest way to buy favourite mid-priced wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône, so please ask us for our offers or check our website for latest reports. Prices are clearly marked in our sales literature and are exclusive of duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT. Shipment of claret and Port normally takes place around 30 months after the vintage, burgundy and Rhône usually more quickly. A second invoice for the duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT on the value of the wine is charged at the time of shipment - view current duty rates. There are no further charges for deliveries to a UK mainland home or work address. Your Lying Abroad purchases are covered under The Bunch Code of Practice which can be sent on request or viewed here.
