Founded in 1990, this acclaimed, family-owned winery is rooted in California’s Santa Ynez Valley within Santa Barbara County. Murray’s passion for winemaking was sparked during travels through France’s Rhône Valley, where he developed a deep appreciation for Syrah, Grenache, and Viognier. He later honed his technical expertise at University of California, Davis, complementing his studies with hands-on international experience before returning to California to pursue his vision. The winery focuses primarily on Rhône varietals, producing elegant Syrahs, vibrant Grenaches, expressive Viogniers, and carefully balanced blends. Fruit is sourced from estate vineyards and select sites across the Central Coast, where marine influences, varied soils, and dramatic diurnal temperature shifts contribute to complexity and structure in the wines.
