Foncalieu is a co-operative with 1200 members based near Carcassonne in the south of France, although they have growers throughout Gascony, the Rhône and Provence working over seven thousand hectares of vines.
They are innovative and quality driven, insisting on rigourous viticultural practices from their growers, and are involved in research with universities around the world. Production facilities are constantly being upgraded and can now deal with 25 million bottles a year. The whites are crisp and fresh, the reds soft and juicy.
