Luis Felipe Edwards

Viña Luis Felipe Edwards (LFE) was founded in 1976 when Luis Felipe Edwards Sr bought the Fundo San José de Puquillay estate, a sixty hectare estate in the Colchagua Valley, Chile, and decided to launch a wine under his own name.

It was here where he built and developed his winery, and today their modern production complex at Puquillay comprises four wineries, and a barrel cellar in addition to the original historic cellars of the old estate. Their original 60 hectares now extended into hillside sites and total 390 hectares, and at altitudes just shy of 3000 feet the LFE900 mountain vineyards are the highest vineyards in Chile, and they are in the vanguard of growing varieties on very sloping sites at altitude. LFE is the largest 100% family owned company in Chile, and vineyard holdings today include other sites throughout many of the premier growing regions of Chile and amount to a grand total of 1850 hectares. They export to over 70 countries. Their first release was Luis Felipe Edwards Cabernet Sauvignon 1994 and their attention to detail and commitment to quality is such that Luis Felipe Edwards wines win awards throughout the world. Many of the family are involved in the company including the founder, Luis Felipe Edwards Sr, and his son, Luis Felipe Edwards Jr.
