This is an excellent small estate run by Mallory and Benjamin Talmard with their son, Marco, taking more and more of an active role since his return in 2025. Domaine Talmard is situated within the village of Uchizy in Maconnais and has 31 hectares of vineyards in production, three quarters of the whole farming enterprise of 42 ha that encompasses cereals and beef, as well as some glorious flower meadows.
The Talmard family champion bio-diversity in action, even if they don't always want to tie themselves into the bureaucracy that goes with it! Talmard wines are full-flavoured, genuine and cover a range of village and single vineyard sites - a domaine very much on the rise yet aware of it's time and place in the environment.
