Montgomery Vineyard

In the heart of Mid Wales, the Lennard family has been crafting distinctive Welsh wines since 2011. What began as a passion project has grown into one of the country’s most characterful small vineyards, rooted firmly in its landscape.

Set on a sheltered hillside in Montgomeryshire, the vineyard benefits from flinty, free-draining glacial soils - well-suited to ripening fruit in a cool climate. With a background in geology, Director Woody Lennard has shaped the vineyard with a deep understanding of the land, bringing together technical insight and a clear vision for expressive, terroir-driven wines.

Planted across five acres, the vineyard is tended entirely by hand, with varieties including Solaris, Rondo and Pinot Noir Précoce. Despite its modest scale, Montgomery Vineyard has quickly gained critical recognition, earning praise and awards for wines that reflect both precision and a strong sense of place.
