Château Cheval-Blanc, Saint-Emilion 2025 En Primeur (Case of 3)

£1,005.00

ALC 12.7%

This wine is still to be bottled and as such the advertised ABV may be subject to change on its eventual arrival and inspection into the U.K.

Pretty aromas of violets and rose mix with graphite, fresh tobacco and damson. Very pure and clean on the palate. The Cabernet Franc provides redcurrant notes and super freshness, whilst the Merlot delivers a wealth of raspberry, red plum and mulberry. The tannins give a little grip but they are refined, rounding off a juicy, accessible Cheval that finishes with hints of saline minerality and bitter chocolate notes.

Château Cheval Blanc

A curious mix of soils are found on the estate of Cheval Blanc, ranging from heavy soils over clay bedrock to gravel on an iron-pan bed. This variation together with skilled winemaking give the wines a delicacy, exquisite bouquet and softness distinctive to this estate together with the use of a high percentage of Cabernet Franc. Since 1850 Cheval Blanc has had an unchanging vineyard area of 37 hectares. Now owned by the LVMH group it has a very modern, distinctive chai.

About En Primeur

Lying Abroad/En Primeur/In Bond Wines

Wines offered ‘Lying Abroad’ or ‘En Primeur’ provide a good way to secure some of the most sought after wines at opening prices. In addition we ensure it is the cheapest way to buy favourite mid-priced wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône, so please ask us for our offers or check our website for latest reports. Prices are clearly marked in our sales literature and are exclusive of duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT. Shipment of claret and Port normally takes place around 30 months after the vintage, burgundy and Rhône usually more quickly. A second invoice for the duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT on the value of the wine is charged at the time of shipment - view current duty rates. There are no further charges for deliveries to a UK mainland home or work address. Your Lying Abroad purchases are covered under The Bunch Code of Practice which can be sent on request or viewed here.
