Château Clinet, Pomerol 2025 En Primeur (Case of 6)

£270.00

ALC 14%

This wine is still to be bottled and as such the advertised ABV may be subject to change on its eventual arrival and inspection into the U.K.

An intense and layered nose of violets, blackberry, cassis and dark plum, intertwined with clove spice, fine oak and a touch of nougat are followed by a very juicy, powerful core of ripe, concentrated black fruit. Structured with firm, well integrated-tannins, there’s a signature density and texture with hints of vanilla, spice and mineral salinity on the finish. Excellent.

Château Clinet

Traces of the vineyards that make up this esteemed estate date back to 1614 when it was owned by the Gombault family who owned parts of it up until 1831.

It subsequently passed through the ownership of two families until 1991 when it was bought by a French insurance company who, with the help of Jean-Michel Arcaute and consultant winemaker Michel Rolland, raised the profile and quality of the wines. In 1998 it was bought by the Laborde family and since 2003 the estate has been managed by Ronan Laborde.

About En Primeur

Lying Abroad/En Primeur/In Bond Wines

Wines offered ‘Lying Abroad’ or ‘En Primeur’ provide a good way to secure some of the most sought after wines at opening prices. In addition we ensure it is the cheapest way to buy favourite mid-priced wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône, so please ask us for our offers or check our website for latest reports. Prices are clearly marked in our sales literature and are exclusive of duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT. Shipment of claret and Port normally takes place around 30 months after the vintage, burgundy and Rhône usually more quickly. A second invoice for the duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT on the value of the wine is charged at the time of shipment - view current duty rates. There are no further charges for deliveries to a UK mainland home or work address. Your Lying Abroad purchases are covered under The Bunch Code of Practice which can be sent on request or viewed here.
