£294.00

ALC 12.7%

This wine is still to be bottled and as such the advertised ABV may be subject to change on its eventual arrival and inspection into the U.K.

An elegant wine with an attractive floral nose, pure red fruit on the palate, fine tannins and good freshness on the finish. Very pure and harmonious.

Château Duhart-Milon

In the mid-19th century a 40 hectare vineyard, named Duhart-Milon, emerged following an expansion of grape growing in Pauillac during the preceding century. Duhart-Milon was ranked 4th growth in the 1855 classification under the auspices of the Castéja family. By the early 20th century the 50ha estate was one of the largest in Pauillac.

It was sold in 1937 and went through the hands of 5 owners in the next 25 years until it was final purchased by the neighbouring Rothschild family of Château Lafite, who set about much improving the vineyards. Due to its location just to the west of Lafite, today, the two châteaux are run by the same team.

About En Primeur

Lying Abroad/En Primeur/In Bond Wines

Wines offered ‘Lying Abroad’ or ‘En Primeur’ provide a good way to secure some of the most sought after wines at opening prices. In addition we ensure it is the cheapest way to buy favourite mid-priced wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône, so please ask us for our offers or check our website for latest reports. Prices are clearly marked in our sales literature and are exclusive of duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT. Shipment of claret and Port normally takes place around 30 months after the vintage, burgundy and Rhône usually more quickly. A second invoice for the duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT on the value of the wine is charged at the time of shipment - view current duty rates. There are no further charges for deliveries to a UK mainland home or work address. Your Lying Abroad purchases are covered under The Bunch Code of Practice which can be sent on request or viewed here.
