Château Figeac, 1er grand cru classé 'A' Saint-Emilion 2025 En Primeur (Case of 6)

£690.00

ALC 13%

This wine is still to be bottled and as such the advertised ABV may be subject to change on its eventual arrival and inspection into the U.K.

In classic Figeac style, this is roughly a one third blend of Merlot, Cab Franc and Cab Sauvignon. Immediately there are delicate aromas of crunchy, ripe, red fruit, white pepper and graphite. The mid-palate is satisfyingly silky in texture with generous vibrant black fruit and toasty oak notes coming through. With finely grained tannins and a saline minerality and elegance on the finish, this is a wonderfully expressive Figeac.

Château Figeac

Just across the road from Cheval Blanc lies Figeac, a 40 hectare estate on gravel soils and with a reputation as the 'Médoc of the Right Bank' due to the large amount of Cabernet generally used in its wines. It has been in the hands of the Manoncourt family for over 100 years and produces fabulous wines with richness and depth that will age well.

About En Primeur

Lying Abroad/En Primeur/In Bond Wines

Wines offered ‘Lying Abroad’ or ‘En Primeur’ provide a good way to secure some of the most sought after wines at opening prices. In addition we ensure it is the cheapest way to buy favourite mid-priced wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône, so please ask us for our offers or check our website for latest reports. Prices are clearly marked in our sales literature and are exclusive of duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT. Shipment of claret and Port normally takes place around 30 months after the vintage, burgundy and Rhône usually more quickly. A second invoice for the duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT on the value of the wine is charged at the time of shipment - view current duty rates. There are no further charges for deliveries to a UK mainland home or work address. Your Lying Abroad purchases are covered under The Bunch Code of Practice which can be sent on request or viewed here.
