Château Lafite Rothschild, 1er cru classé Pauillac 2025 En Primeur (Case of 6)

£2,082.00

ALC 12.5%

This wine is still to be bottled and as such the advertised ABV may be subject to change on its eventual arrival and inspection into the U.K.

Surprisingly subdued on the nose which emerges stealthily with plum and damson parts and an undertone of spice. Composed with ripe red plum singing on the palate, lightly chalky tannic frame and power that builds on the finish. A savoury end, all in control with the finesse and poise being the factors driving this wine.

Château Lafite Rothschild

A large estate with a significant history, and arguably Bordeaux's most famous château. The de Rothschilds have kept an eye on tradition but have not been afraid of innovation.

Since the mid-1970s quality has improved still further with lower cropping levels, later harvest dates with riper grapes and the wines spending less time in oak. This has led to more concentration and a fresher and fruitier style. Very classy, highly refined, aristocratic and truly exceptional!

About En Primeur

Lying Abroad/En Primeur/In Bond Wines

Wines offered ‘Lying Abroad’ or ‘En Primeur’ provide a good way to secure some of the most sought after wines at opening prices. In addition we ensure it is the cheapest way to buy favourite mid-priced wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône, so please ask us for our offers or check our website for latest reports. Prices are clearly marked in our sales literature and are exclusive of duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT. Shipment of claret and Port normally takes place around 30 months after the vintage, burgundy and Rhône usually more quickly. A second invoice for the duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT on the value of the wine is charged at the time of shipment - view current duty rates. There are no further charges for deliveries to a UK mainland home or work address. Your Lying Abroad purchases are covered under The Bunch Code of Practice which can be sent on request or viewed here.
