A brand-new release, based on Viosinho and Códega do Larinho designed to reflect the freshness, elegance and complexity possible from higher altitude Douo vineyards. Lush, herby and aromatic, offering up notes of passion fruit and citrus. More citrus on the palate, white fruits too with a touch of salt and flint. Zesty and full of energy. 0-3 years.

Altano is a brand name owned by the Symington family used for table wines from their own properties. Altano Reserva comes from a single quinta, Quinta do Ataíde, located in the beautiful Vilariça Valley.

It is the largest of three properties owned by the Symington family in this valley. The vineyard is 82 hectares (203 acres) and has one of the largest single planting of Touriga Nacional in the Douro. The vineyard was planted in the late 1970s/early 1980s so is now fully mature. The wine is made by Charles Symington and Pedro Correia.
