Dark fruited and a little restrained which seem to be the hallmarks of this wine when young. Herbs, cocoa and damson fruit with fine grained tannins and lots of complexity.

Press Review

"Deep colour, aromatics and flavour. Richly fragrant and quite bold (relative to the typically elegant Felton Road context) with the classic Bannockburn velvety mid-palate texture. Brimming with cherries, violets and spicy Campari notes. Concentrated and complex, with a long and finely tuned finish, charm and presence. B Corp certified and biodynamic. Drink: 2024-2032"

Felton Road

The first vineyard, Elms, was carefully selected by Stewart Elms in 1991 and planted the following year. Stewart decided to sell in 2000 and Nigel Greening, an ex-pat who had previously sold his British film production company to plant the Cornish Point Vineyard in Bannockburn, snapped it up.

Nigel kept the team in place including winemaker Blair Walter and viticulturist Gareth King. Every effort has been made to match grape varieties to soil types and the area has many tiny microclimates that make this easier to do. The Elms now extends to some 14 hectares.
