Laudun, Château Courac 2024 En Primeur - Case of 12

£96.00

75cl ALC 14.5%

This wine is still to be bottled and as such the advertised ABV maybe be subject to change on its eventual arrival and inspection into the U.K.

Rich and dense bramble fruit with raspberries and plums whilst liquorice and violets add pleasing complexity. The mouthfeel is rounded and pleasant with an excellent balance between fruit, tannin and acids, showing a lovely high quality blackberry jam character. This is the new Laudun appellation, smaller than the Côtes du Rhône Villages Laudun appellation and with lower yields. Superb value. 0-5 years.

Château Courac

Nestled in the hillside of Laudun, in the village of Tresques on the west side of the Rhône, Château Courac is a picture-perfect property surrounded by forest.

Since taking over the running of the property Frédéric and Josephine Arnaud have invested enormous amounts of time and energy renovating the house, winery and vineyards – where they work in a sustainable fashion. Having finished his studies their son, Cyril, is now working full-time at the family domaine. They use very little oak, keen to make the fruit as accessible as possible and are now converting some of the vineyards to organic production. The wine gets better each year.

About En Primeur

Lying Abroad/En Primeur/In Bond Wines

Wines offered ‘Lying Abroad’ or ‘En Primeur’ provide a good way to secure some of the most sought after wines at opening prices. In addition we ensure it is the cheapest way to buy favourite mid-priced wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône, so please ask us for our offers or check our website for latest reports. Prices are clearly marked in our sales literature and are exclusive of duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT. Shipment of claret and Port normally takes place around 30 months after the vintage, burgundy and Rhône usually more quickly. A second invoice for the duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT on the value of the wine is charged at the time of shipment - view current duty rates. There are no further charges for deliveries to a UK mainland home or work address. Your Lying Abroad purchases are covered under The Bunch Code of Practice which can be sent on request or viewed here.
