Pequeno Dilema, Douro Branco, Symington 2023 En Primeur - Case of 6

£108.00

This wine is still to be bottled and as such the advertised ABV maybe be subject to change on its eventual arrival and inspection into the U.K.

Translating as "small dilemma", a reference to creating white wines in a place known for fortified reds! Pretty, lifted notes of honeysuckle on the nose, then onto a silky palate, offering very good intensity, lively acidity and a salty tang. There is a lovely mineral element and a touch of vanilla, combining to produce an ample, fresh and juicy glass. 0-3 years.

Symington Family Estates

Altano is a brand name owned by the Symington family used for table wines from their own properties. Altano Reserva comes from a single quinta, Quinta do Ataíde, located in the beautiful Vilariça Valley.

It is the largest of three properties owned by the Symington family in this valley. The vineyard is 82 hectares (203 acres) and has one of the largest single planting of Touriga Nacional in the Douro. The vineyard was planted in the late 1970s/early 1980s so is now fully mature. The wine is made by Charles Symington and Pedro Correia.

About En Primeur

Lying Abroad/En Primeur/In Bond Wines

Wines offered ‘Lying Abroad’ or ‘En Primeur’ provide a good way to secure some of the most sought after wines at opening prices. In addition we ensure it is the cheapest way to buy favourite mid-priced wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône, so please ask us for our offers or check our website for latest reports. Prices are clearly marked in our sales literature and are exclusive of duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT. Shipment of claret and Port normally takes place around 30 months after the vintage, burgundy and Rhône usually more quickly. A second invoice for the duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT on the value of the wine is charged at the time of shipment - view current duty rates. There are no further charges for deliveries to a UK mainland home or work address. Your Lying Abroad purchases are covered under The Bunch Code of Practice which can be sent on request or viewed here.
