Deep in colour, with an expressive nose shaped by the distinctive floral character of Vale de Mendiz. Violet, rockrose and wild herbs are set against notes of blackberry, black cherry and plum, giving the wine freshness and a clear sense of place. On the palate, it is generous but well balanced, with ample fruit, lively freshness and finely integrated tannins. The floral profile remains evident throughout, bringing lift, complexity and distinction. The finish is long, poised and persistent. A Vintage Port of character and definition, with very good ageing potential.

Shipment of claret and Port normally takes place around 30 months after the vintage, burgundy and Rhône usually more quickly. A second invoice for the duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT on the value of the wine is charged at the time of shipment - view current duty rates.
