With 50% of the production going into this second wine, Nicolas Glumineau was at pains to explain that this is very much its own style and made on its own terms. He added that they learnt a huge amount about vineyard management in 2021 and 2022 which helped 2023 turn out the way it did. Reserve Comtesse has a fresh, stalky, brambly aroma and is very round and supple on the palate before an elegant and refined finish. This is a polished and quite immediate glass of wine. 3-9 years.
