Session 2: Viticulture & Vinification

A lively introduction to the world of wine, exploring the major white and red grape varieties and the journey from vineyard to bottle. We’ll look at how vines are grown, harvested and pruned, and distinguish the natural characteristics of different grapes and regions from the stylistic choices made by winemakers. We’ll explore key winemaking techniques before tasting eight wines, comparing different regions, grape varieties and approaches to winemaking along the way.
