Vinsobres, Les Hauts de Julien, Famille Perrin 2023 En Primeur - Case of 6

£156.00

This wine is still to be bottled and as such the advertised ABV maybe be subject to change on its eventual arrival and inspection into the U.K.

This particular 'selections parcellaires' is sourced from 90-year-old plots of Grenache and Syrah, amply demonstrating the intensity of flavour to be found in old vines. With enticing aromas of violets, blueberry and blackcurrant there's more core density of black fruit, cherry and spice on the palate. With a hint garrigue and damson notes on the finish, it holds nothing back. Well structured, balanced, reassuringly elegant with refreshing acidity, this is a serious wine which will age gracefully.

Perrin Family

The Beaucastel estate has been in the safe and capable hands of the Perrin family since 1909. Over time the vineyards expanded with Jean-Pierre and François adding La Vieille Ferme in 1989.

Since 1964 the entire property has been run along strict organic lines, though this is not stated on the label. They produce the longest lived wines of the Rhône Valley and they use all 13 permitted grape varieties. Also under the Perrin umbrella come the Coudoulet de Beaucastel, Côtes du Rhône and Perrin Reserve range.

About En Primeur

Lying Abroad/En Primeur/In Bond Wines

Wines offered ‘Lying Abroad’ or ‘En Primeur’ provide a good way to secure some of the most sought after wines at opening prices. In addition we ensure it is the cheapest way to buy favourite mid-priced wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône, so please ask us for our offers or check our website for latest reports. Prices are clearly marked in our sales literature and are exclusive of duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT. Shipment of claret and Port normally takes place around 30 months after the vintage, burgundy and Rhône usually more quickly. A second invoice for the duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT on the value of the wine is charged at the time of shipment - view current duty rates. There are no further charges for deliveries to a UK mainland home or work address. Your Lying Abroad purchases are covered under The Bunch Code of Practice which can be sent on request or viewed here.
