Akashi Tai Brewery Co Ltd (Japan)
The history of the Akashi Tai Brewery Co. Ltd dates back to the end of the Tokugawa period (1600 - 1867) when they produced Soy sauce and traded in rice.
In 1918 they expanded into the production of Sake and other alcoholic beverages, taking advantage of the regions climate which is ideal for rice production. Akashi used to be a small fishing village but today is a large city, famed for its fish, Akashi Tai means Sea Bream in English. The city is in the Hyogo prefecture near to Osaka. The company is headed by their President Yonezawa.
