Clonakilty Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey (Gift Box)

Clonakilty Distillery is a family-owned, grain-to-glass Irish whiskey producer on Ireland’s wild Atlantic coast, founded by the Scully family, who have farmed in the area for nine generations. Their approach is rooted in place, with 100% of the barley used in their whiskey grown in County Cork, including heritage barley cultivated on the family farm. Pure spring water is drawn from a deep artesian well, while maturation takes place in warehouses overlooking the Atlantic, allowing the maritime climate to influence the whiskey’s character.

Clonakilty’s whiskey is made entirely in-house, from fermentation and distillation through to maturation, blending and bottling. Fermentation lasts more than 100 hours to develop flavour and complexity, followed by triple distillation in long-necked stills to create a smooth, refined spirit. Their single pot still whiskey combines malted and unmalted barley and is matured patiently in oak casks exposed to the Atlantic air.

Sustainability is central to the distillery’s philosophy. It is B Corp certified and has mapped its carbon footprint, while 100% of its electricity comes from renewable sources. Distillation by-products are returned to local farmers as fertiliser or animal feed, and cooling water is recirculated. Packaging is 98% reusable, recyclable or compostable, while lighter recycled-glass bottles reduce material use. Biodiversity initiatives include planting native trees, hedgerows and wildflower meadows, alongside a dedicated bee bank. In addition, they are proud supporters of Whale and Dolphin Conservation.
