Coriole Vineyards

Situated in one of South Australia’s most picturesque wine regions, Coriole was established in 1967 by Hugh and Molly Lloyd. Today their sons Mark and Paul run the show.

The vineyards are just to the North of the McLaren Vale Township at an altitude of 150m. The soil is predominantly Terra Rosa on a limestone base. The situation ensures warm daytime temperatures and the altitude ensures cool nights, perfect for the production of characterful wines. The average ages of the vines are around 35 years old but the oldest date back to 1919 and are on pre phylloxera rootstock. They are in the process of converting their vineyards to organic farming.
