Domaine des Chenevières
The rolling green vineyards that flow down the valley to Saint-Maurica de Satonnay in the Maconnais set off the brand new chai and stylish buildings that comprise Domaine de Chenevières.
Rebuilt in 2025 as the result of inheritance law dividing up the old winery, the new enterprise of 30 ha is now run by brothers Aurélien and Sylvain Lenoir, mostly Chardonnay but with some Aligoté, Pinot Noir and Gamay, the last two allowing production of an old-fashioned 'Passe-tout-Grains' rouge. The brothers manage a range of plots, many of old vines of 35+ years, that grow on the upper and middle parts of the slopes above the village, with southern and south-easterly aspects. The concentration of fruit is balanced with an integrated seam of lemony acidity across the range of wines they produce.
