Grolleau

The third-most cultivated red grape of the Loire, Grolleau is named after the French for ‘black crow’ meaning the colour of the berries. It makes lots of rosés, mainly off-dry in Anjou and drier in Touraine. Red wines are softer with bright red-berry raspberry and cranberry fruit, often with a herby note.
