Rodney Strong Vineyards

The winery was established in 1959 by American dancer Rod Strong. That year he retired as a dancer and married his dancing partner Charlotte Ann Winson and together they set about establishing a winery and purchasing vineyards in the, as then unrecognised, Sonoma County. In 1989 Tom Klein, the current owner, bought the winery and, together with winemaker Rick Sayre, established Rodney Strong as one of the finest and most sustainable wineries in the county, becoming the first Carbon Neutral winery in Sonoma.
