Pretty bland, neutral stuff which usually plumps out white table wine in the South of France and the North of Italy, or gets distilled into Cognac and Armagnac. Honourable exceptions occur in South-West France, where its acidity is useful in Gascony blends, and in parts of Italy where they need that acidity.
