An opportunity to sample a range of styles from a clutch of excellent producers. Bachelet-Monnot’s Bourgogne Pinot Noir is based on their superb Maranges holdings in the south of the Côte de Beaune; Prunier’s Hautes-Côtes is lip-smacking, fruity and shows a little wildness, while Rollin’s example shows greater density and weight from vines up to 50 years old up. Crossing north to the Cote de Nuits, around the village of Arcenant due west of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Michel Gros’ Fontaine St Martin is a serious proposition and shows the value in the roads less travelled. These will drink on release but the Bachelet-Monnot and Gros wines will benefit from a few years in bottle.

Wines offered ‘Lying Abroad’ or ‘En Primeur’ provide a good way to secure some of the most sought after wines at opening prices. Prices are clearly marked in our sales literature and are exclusive of duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT. Shipment of claret and Port normally takes place around 30 months after the vintage, burgundy and Rhône usually more quickly. A second invoice for the duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT on the value of the wine is charged at the time of shipment - view current duty rates. There are no further charges for deliveries to a UK mainland home or work address.
