Graham's Quinta dos Malvedos, Vintage Port 2023 - 300cl En Primeur - Single bottle

£150.00

300cl ALC 20%

A broader feel to the nose here, of rich red fruits over mint-tinged dark fruits, giving a sense of depth and freshness. Full-bodied with that Graham’s easy sweetness, and then a surprisingly charged combination of energy and acidity – something that should imbue this with a long life. Supple, rounded and very juicy, complexity will follow in time, but that doesn’t detract from how delicious this is now.

Graham's

Successful Scottish traders William and John Graham founded W&J Graham in 1820. Seventy years later they were one of the first Port companies to buy vineyards in the Upper Douro at Quinta dos Malvedos.

In the same year, 1890, they built their imposing lodge in Vila Nova de Gaia, which holds 3,500 casks of Port. Since 1970 the company has been part of the Symington Family Estates. The quality of the wines is always high; they are rich, soft and sweet in style and capable of long ageing. Winemaker Peter Symington has introduced very efficient ‘robotic’ lagares.

About En Primeur

Lying Abroad/En Primeur/In Bond Wines

Wines offered ‘Lying Abroad’ or ‘En Primeur’ provide a good way to secure some of the most sought after wines at opening prices. In addition we ensure it is the cheapest way to buy favourite mid-priced wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône, so please ask us for our offers or check our website for latest reports. Prices are clearly marked in our sales literature and are exclusive of duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT. Shipment of claret and Port normally takes place around 30 months after the vintage, burgundy and Rhône usually more quickly. A second invoice for the duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT on the value of the wine is charged at the time of shipment - view current duty rates. There are no further charges for deliveries to a UK mainland home or work address. Your Lying Abroad purchases are covered under The Bunch Code of Practice which can be sent on request or viewed here.
