Tanners sits at the heart of one of Shrewsbury’s oldest streets, Wyle Cop. Our unique building dates in parts to the 15th Century and the architecture spans to the modern day. This building has seen many changes over the years, as one of the oldest secular buildings in Shrewsbury, there is a wealth of history within these walls.

As Tanners headquarters, it’s a wonderful time capsule and still a-buzz with people and the day-to-day running of a business.

You’ll be greeted with a glass of crowd-pleasing Tanners Cava before commencing a tour of the cellars, passageway and the many rooms of this charming property. Hear the old stories, see the location of Fezziwig’s Party in the 1984 adaptation of A Christmas Carol starring George C Scott. Learn what the building was before Tanners started here and the purposes it has served throughout its many years of residency, right up to the present day.

We look forward to showing you around and sharing a piece of Tanners history with you. Please note that your ticket price includes a bottle of Cava for each guest to take home.

We are now paperless and all tickets will be sent out in PDF format a week prior to the event. Should you need your ticket earlier, please contact us.
