Most Mazoyère-Chambertin is sold as Charmes, and this is the case here, but it does produce a slightly more structured wine. This combines however with beautiful sweet fruit in a wine which is carefully crafted, long and elegant.

Owned by Chanel and run by the same team which has turned Rausan Ségla around this is one of the hottest properties of the Right bank. A fabulous wine with intoxicating notes of violets, kirsch, plums, dark chocolate and spice. Precise, polished and rich in style it continues to impress on the palate where black berry, red fruit and spice dominate. Wonderfully balanced and energetic with a backbone of fine tannins, this is sheer indulgence. Enjoy!

Full and deep, with excellent structure, this 1980 is aromatic, powerful and long. Mouthfilling and meaty, with sweet fruit; blackcurrants, cherries, cassis and chocolate notes. Fine balance and seamless construction.
