Clos Haut Peyraguey
Superbly situated property close to Château d'Yquem. Its history dates back to the early 17th century and it was classified Premier Grand Cru in 1855. Howwever, in 1885 the Peyraguey estate was split in two, the other half being Lafaurie Peyraguey. In 2012 it was acquired by Bernard Magrez, owner of Pape Clément in Pessac. It now consists of twelve hectares, 95% Sémillon with a bit of Sauvignon. It produces a traditional rich and concentrated Sauternes.
