Codega

Códega do Larinho is an indigenous Portuguese white grape, traditionally grown in the Douro Valley, where it has long played a supporting role in both Port and dry table wines. Its origins are historic and local, valued more for reliability than aroma. Typically low in acidity, Códega produces gently textured wines with subtle flavours of apple, pear and almond. When carefully handled and blended, it contributes fruitiness, softness and approachability rather than overt aromatic intensity.
