Domaine André Colonge et Fils
Situated in the pretty village of Lancié since the early 60s, Domaine André Colonge is now run by André's grandsons, Landry and Samuel. Landry has moved into his grandparents house and this is where their old cellars are located and where the wines are matured in a variety of concrete tanks.
They focus on Fleurie which is silky and very typical, while covering Brouilly too since 2011 in their vineyard holdings of 32 ha. and also making a simpler but characterful Beaujolais-Villages. There is also some Chardonnay planted for a Coteaux Bourgogne Blanc and Beaujolais Blanc. The Lancié vines are all on decomposed granite soils, while some clay in their Fleurie vineyards lends a richer, lusher side to delicious ripe fruit. The Brouilly is crisper but Landry has high hopes for the future as the vines get older.
