Falanghina

Described as the signature white of southern Italy’s Campania region, this grape, like many others, probably originated in Greece and has travelled westwards, its name probably referring to the Latin for ‘stakes’ given its upright stance as a vine. Falanghina produces wines that are fresh, lively and food-friendly. Typical flavours include green apple, pear, and subtle mineral notes, often with a slightly nutty tone. These wines are widely drunk in Rome for their crispness, aromatic clarity, and ability to convey the sun-soaked character of their volcanic-soil origins into your glass!
