Macallan Distillery

Built in 1824 it was bought by Roderick Kemp who sold his share in his Skye distillery, Talisker, to buy Macallan. His descendant, Allan Shiach, is the present chairman. Many of their whiskies are aged in Sherry casks, which are leased to producers in Jerez for 4 years use prior to sending them to Scotland.
